Our Herts Flute Day on Sept. 25th was run in partnership with the Hertfordshire County Music Service, for flute players of all levels up to the age of 18. A fun filled and stimulating day with a whole range of classes, including technical workshops, improvisation, performance skills and Abbie's infamous scale game!

Our annual course is over 3 days this year. We have redesigned the timetable and there will be more focus on continuity throughout the three days to maximise personal development -
Course content for Juniors: there will be mini masterclasses (bring your pieces!), ensembles, games, beatboxing, improvisation, workshops on flute technique and much more.
COURSE CONTENT for adults and Advanced Juniors:
FRIDAY 27th OCTOBER WITH MATTHEW FEATHERSTONE
includes masterclasses, "Ensembles Day 1", a lunchtime concert with Matthew and a Question & Answer session with Matthew about his job as Principal Flute. There will be a workshop on tone, and a demonstration of World Flutes.
SATURDAY 28th OCTOBER WITH IAN CLARKE
includes a masterclass, a workshop on breathing, "Ensembles Day 2" (we will now start working on getting pieces secure), Ian’s workshop on advanced techniques, and a lunchtime concert with Ian.
SUNDAY 29th OCTOBER WITH LISA NELSEN
includes masterclasses, a workshop on learning to play Mozart’s flute and harp concerto with Lisa’s harpist Eleanor Turner, piano time with Simon, a concert at lunchtime given by Lisa and Eleanor, "Ensembles Day 3" (fine-

This course will be at the Hall Junior School in Swiss Cottage, London.
