works as a freelance flautist and teacher in London and the UK, and plays a number of flutes, whistles, panpipes and non-Western flutes. She has given classes and workshops as an artist for the Concordia Foundation, Making Music Concert Promoters’ Group and for Music in Hospitals. This has included giving classes for a number of schools and music societies, at Trinity Laban, the Purcell School and at the Royal Festival Hall for the South Riverside Partnership. Holly has assisted on Anna Noakes’ flute summer school ‘A Breath of Fresh Air’, and is a regular deputy at the Junior Department of Trinity Laban.

 

As a freelance flautist, Holly has worked as a deputy in the Lion King (West End), Thursford Christmas Spectacular, ‘Oliver!’ (the Curve Leicester), the Royal Shakespeare Company, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre and in ENO’s John Cage Musicircus. She has recorded on a range of instruments with artists including Katie Melua, Laura Mvula, and with folk band Skinny Lister, and has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 programmes In Tune and Late Junction. Holly has given recitals with pianist Helen Nicholas and harpist Tamara Young at the Royal Opera House Crush Room, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Cheltenham Town Hall, and for a number of music societies in the UK. 

 

Holly studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with Anna Noakes and Alan Baker, the Royal Academy of Music with Karen Jones and Patricia Morris, and at the University of Birmingham with Colin Lilley. She was awarded an Emerging Excellence Award from the Musicians Benevolent Fund in 2012, and undertook a role as the Richard Carne Junior Fellow at Trinity Laban during 2011 – 2012.
